The men and women of the Nassau County PBA endorse Joe DeStefano.
Joe DeStefano worked side by side with us for 27 years as a Public Safety Communication Supervisor in the Suffolk Sheriff's office. When the opportunity arose for him to continue his service, he stepped up to the plate and ran for the state assembly. In Albany, we know he has our back. After the COVID virus hit, Joe sponsored legislation to designate emergency dispatchers and operators “First Responder” status. He supports the various bills and initiatives that are important to us and is a full-time advocate of the working men and women of our county.
I'm proud to receive the endorsement of the the National Rifle Association of America, the number one gun rights advocacy in the United States. Founded to advance rifle marksmanship, the modern NRA continues to teach firearm safety and competency while advocating for gun owners and the Second Amendment.
The New York State Public Employees Federation has thrown its support behind Joe. The organization supports and defends the concepts of individual merit and ethical performance as criteria for public service employees in order to best promote efficient delivery of services to the citizens of New York State.
The New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association has announced its support of Joe DeStefano for reelection.
I'm proud to have earned the endorsement of the Police Benevolent Association of New York State.
I'm proud to receive the endorsement of the New York State Troopers PBA for my reelection. The men and women of law enforcement put their lives on the line each and every day to keep us safe and they know they can count on me to always have their back.
I am honored to have received the support of the Long Island Federation of Labor. Here is the letter they sent me in announcing their endorsement:
Dear Assemblyman DeStefano:
On behalf of our Executive Board and the 250,000 union members on Long Island, we are pleased to inform you that the New York State AFL-CIO has adopted the recommendation of the Long Island Federation of Labor and has endorsed your candidacy for the 3rd Assembly District. Our support for your campaign is based on your record and your commitment to working families.
We are confident that you share with us a common vision about the future of Long Island. Good jobs, with decent pay and benefits, are the basis of a stable, middle class lifestyle. That is something we can achieve together. We look forward to working with you to build opportunities for the next generation, to live and work here on Long Island in safe, prosperous communities.
Congratulations and good luck.

They deliver the services we expect and depend on and show their dedication to our communities and neighborhoods everyday when they show up for work. I support them and am grateful that they support me.

"Your hard work and diligence on behalf of all New Yorkers is recognized and appreciated by the Steamfitters Local Union 638 and its members," said President Patrick Dolan and Financial Secretary Treasurer Robert Egan in their letter endorsing my reelection. I appreciate their support and will work hard every day as their members do to make sure they are respected and recognized for what they do for us.

On behalf of the Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), representing over 300,000 active and retired public and private sector employees across the state of New York, I am pleased to inform you of CSEA’s endorsement of your candidacy for the New York State Assembly.
From employees of the State to local governments to the private sector, CSEA members provide the services that New Yorkers need and depend on every day. This is especially true during this unprecedented COVID-19 crisis as CSEA members have been on the front lines continuing vital services during the pandemic. As New York and its localities grapple with the economic fallout of COVID-19, we need elected officials who will fight to maintain these services while keeping our workforce safe.
CSEA is proud to endorse your candidacy for New York State Assembly. We are confident that you will stand with working people to make New York a better state. Working together we will get through this crisis.
Mary E. Sullivan
