Joe DeStefano worked side by side with us for 27 years as a Public Safety Communication Supervisor in the Suffolk Sheriff's office. When the opportunity arose for him to continue his service, he stepped up to the plate and ran for the state assembly. In Albany, we know he has our back. After the COVID virus hit, Joe sponsored legislation to designate emergency dispatchers and operators “First Responder” status. He supports the various bills and initiatives that are important to us and is a full-time advocate of the working men and women of our county.

Running for reelection on a platform of supporting law and order, Assemblyman Joe DeStefano has won the endorsement of the Coalition of Suffolk Law Enforcement, a group made up of all the major crime fighting departments in the county.
